Citizen science projects related to climate change
I just launched a citizen science project - Pieris Project (pierisproject.org) - with a great team of researchers. The ultimate goal of the project is to collect a single species of butterfly from across its entire range every year in to perpetuity. Why? Because this type of data - wide geographic range and sampled year to year for a very long time - is critical to uncovering the mysteries of how species adapt to changes in their environment. If your interested in helping us out (anyone with a butterfly net can help) or would like to collaborate in some way, let us know. You can check us out on Facebook and Twitter (@PierisProject) as well.
